Lakers vs Grizzlies: Game 4 Preview

After a dominant win on Saturday, the Lakers look to take a 3-1 series lead in Game 4. In Game 3 the Lakers led wire-to-wire and essentially decided the matter with a 35-9 first quarter. It was a statement display, with the crowd acting as a big catalyst. Laker fans were eager to antagonize Dillon Brooks and it worked, as he shot 3-13 from the field before being ejected in the 3rd quarter.

Injury Report

Dennis Schröder, Lebron James and Anthony Davis are all probable for LA. For Memphis, Steven Adams Brandon Clarke and Jake LaRavia remain out.

Bounce Back Grizzlies?

After being embarrassed in the first quarter of the last game it’s expected that the Grizzlies will come out early and look to take hold of the game. This is a prideful young team that won’t like how Game 3 played out, and will be looking to bounce back and regain home court advantage before heading back to Memphis. Ja Morant was sensational in his return from injury but didn’t have anyone alongside him inflicting much damage. I’d expect a widely improved performance from the Memphis role players.

Stay Aggressive AD

In Games 1 and 3 Anthony Davis was aggressive and sensational. It is no coincidence that those are the two games that have resulted in Laker wins. The last time the Lakers were up in the series, they delivered a lackluster performance in Memphis. This can’t be the same story tonight.

That starts with Davis. He has to continue be aggressive offensively, decisive against double teams, and a monster defensively. This is the best chance the Lakers will have to close the door on this series. An aggressive Davis is the key.

Tip-off is at 10ET on ESPN. Hopefully we are in for another loud, hostile atmosphere inside Crypto.Com Arena. Will the Grizzlies respond and even the series up heading back to Memphis? Or will Los Angeles take firm control of the series?
