The Lakers welcome the Pacers to Crypto.com Arena for the second matchup between the two sides this season. The first was the in-season tournament final in Las Vegas, where the Lakers beat the Pacers behind a dominant Anthony Davis performance and an impressive defensive effort on Tyrese Halliburton. The Lakers will be without Jalen Hood-Schifino, Colin Castleton, Jarred Vanderbilt, Gabe Vincent, and Christian Wood tonight, while LeBron James is questionable and Anthony Davis probable.

Congratulations D’Lo!

In Saturday’s game against the Sixers, D’Angelo Russell officially set the record for the most threes in a Laker season, passing previous recordholder Nick Van Exel. It’s a truly impressive achievement and is extra special as he was drafted by the Lakers back in 2015 before spending time away, not to mention the trade rumors surrounding Russell constantly between the new year and the trade deadline. For him to keep up the consistency in his production, especially from behind the three point line, has been a very welcome sight for the Lakers. Russell has also in the process set himself up nicely for free agency this summer.

The Tyrese Task

Earlier in the season the Lakers did a tremendous job on Tyrese Halliburton in the in-season tournament final. However, LA will be without Jarred Vanderbilt tonight, making containing Halliburton an extremely difficult task. Another big difference in this Indiana squad between that game and tonight’s is the acquisition of Pascal Siakam. With his 3-level scoring ability and Halliburton’s extraordinary passing and scoring ability they are a really tough team to play against. The Lakers will have to be disciplined in their approach defensively tonight in order to come away with the win. Tip off is 7pm PST as the Lakers look to win on their home floor before setting off on a road trip.
