The Lakers are back in San Antonio tonight for a rematch against the Spurs. They beat the Spurs 122-119 on Wednesday night behind an absolutely dominant performance from Anthony Davis. The big man posted 37 points and 10 rebounds and was dominant yet again on the defensive end with 4 steals.

Tonight, the Lakers will be short-handed heading into San Antonio. Lebron James , D’Angelo Russell , Taurean Prince, and Cam Reddish are all questionable. Jarred Vanderbilt is probable. Anthony Davis is out.

Less Complacency

Heading into the fourth quarter Wednesday night, the Lakers were up by 18 points. The lead got down to a one point before Anthony Davis iced the game at the free throw line. LA showed too much complacency in the fourth quarter, which allowed the Spurs to get back into the game. They need to to kill off games and avoid letting opponents come back when they have big leads. The Lakers can’t develop the habit of letting leads slip. The Spurs are a young team, but a more experienced team might have just been able to hand LA an embarrassing loss.

Taurean Prince

After a rough start to the season on the offensive end, Taurean Prince has become a very valuable player for the Lakers with his improvement from beyond the 3-point line. In the last 10 games Prince is shooting 50% from three, which has seen his average for the season shoot up to 38%. Prince said he targeted shooting 40% from 3 for the season, and he is edging closer to that target. By doing so, he is becoming the valuable 3-and-D player that the Lakers envisioned when they signed him in free agency.

Tip off is at 7:30 ET. LA looks to mini-sweep San Antonio 2-0 and end the road trip with back-to-back wins.
