About
About Late Night Lake Show
A Lakers publication for news, numbers and arguments that are worth having.
Last updated
We started Late Night Lake Show for the part of being a Lakers fan that begins when the final buzzer goes quiet. We move quickly when the news matters, slow down for the numbers, and label opinion so you always know what you are reading.
The name was relaunched in 2026 under new ownership. We have no connection to the Late Night Lake Show podcast or its former hosts, and we are not affiliated with the Los Angeles Lakers or the NBA.
How we cover the Lakers
News tells you what happened and why it matters. Analysis uses film, lineup data and the cap sheet to make the next question clearer. Opinion is an argument, not a disguise for reporting. We credit the people who report news first and link primary or data sources when they help.
The desk
A.D. Lane
A.D. Lane runs Late Night Lake Show. Lane writes about the Lakers' rotation, the cap sheet and whatever JJ Redick tried in the fourth quarter last night, and has strong opinions about Luka Doncic's shot diet. Most nights end with a replay of a game that already finished.
